清明 festival, also known as the Tomb Sweeping Day, is one of China's most important traditional festivals. It falls on the 4th day after the Spring Equinox and marks the beginning of spring planting season. On this day, people pay their respects to their ancestors by sweeping tombstones and offering food and incense. They also visit ancestral graves to clean up any debris or weeds that may have accumulated since last year.

According to Chinese folklore, during the Han Dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE), Emperor Wu of Han ordered his subjects to sweep tombs in order to prevent evil spirits from disturbing the rest of their ancestors' souls. This tradition has been passed down for generations and continues today.

In modern times, Clearing Away Evil Spirits Festival has become a time for families to come together and honor their ancestors with offerings such as fruit, vegetables, wine or other symbolic items like paper money or handkerchiefs.

夏至之际：端午

端午 festival is celebrated on June 5th every year in China. The origins of this festival are shrouded in mystery but it is believed that it was originally held on May 10th when there was a dragon boat racing event held by ancient Chinese fishermen who were trying to catch fish while mourning for Qu Yuan—a famous poet who drowned himself in a river because he was disappointed with his country's political situation at that time.

Today's celebration includes many activities such as dragon boat races where participants paddle boats shaped like dragons through rivers while tossing rice dumplings into water; eating zongzi which are glutinous rice balls filled with meat or sweet fillings; hanging colorful streamers called "pennant" above doorways for good luck; giving children red envelopes containing money during family gatherings called "Dragon Boat Festival"; wearing silk hats made from mulberry leaves during Dragon Boat Festival celebrations etcetera

This festival symbolizes unity among people against adversity just like how they came together when Qu Yuan died while fighting against corruption within government ranks

中秋佳節：月圆之夜

Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 15th every year according to lunar calendar based moon phase calculations so its date changes each year but always occurs between late August & early October.

The story behind Mid-Autumn Festival goes back thousands years ago when Chang'e flew all alone up into heaven because she ate an elixir meant only for gods believing it would give her immortality . Now we celebrate this holiday annually by making lanterns outta lotus seeds & filling them with candles inside these beautiful works-of-art then placing them outside our homes under trees especially if we're near riverside areas where fires aren't allowed due safety reasons
